I decided to change the voting mechanism to a "yes or no" voting with percentages instead. I didn't just want to know which ones you liked, i also want to know which you dont. The new system is a little less strict, and a little more colorful. :)

The change came with a little design and layout change, but it should be fairly similar enough to most people that no one will notice.

As i mentioned before, if the traffic justifies it, i will upgrade close-up image vote requirement. it now takes at least 27 votes for a rim for me to add a closeup image.

On a similiar note, Since it was created, this site has had (as of this post) 1570 unique visitors. Yet only 15 comments were left, the higest ranking rim has only 42 votes, and this News / Updates page has only 46 unique hits. (which means no one is reading this) It must be a design flaw with the site... i dont know what the problem is for sure.

maybe i'll try and change things up a little bit. Hopefully i'll get more of the visitors to comment, or vote, or just do something damnit.

My Supra has a blown head gasket. Apparently it finally got bad enough to be undrivable. My number 6 cylinder fills up with coolant, blows a ton of steam out of my exhaust with the slightest touch on the gas pedal, and my coolant is all in the overflow, muddy and useless.

It'd take upwards of $1,500 to pay a shop to fix it, and i dont have the means or the experience to do it myself. A friend of mine may be able to do it for half the cost, which basically leaves him with only $200 after the cost of parts and the cost of machining the head. That's for a job rated 10 hours. that sucks for him. But i cant afford any more than that. Not for a while. we'll see how this all pans out.

Feel free to keep commenting, voting, looking, whatever. it just looks as if getting rims is a more distant goal now. This news doesn't really effect much on this mini site, but it's relevant, and i want to keep anyone who might be interested informed about relevant information.

i've added "close-up image" links to any rim that for one, has a close-up image i could find, and two, has at least 3 votes. I'll try and keep current with this, and if enough traffic justifies it, i will eventually upgrade the vote prerequisite number.

I've also re-written the "Site Purpose" page to be current and accurate, and to help keep news or updates, and explanations seperate. In the Purpose page, i've also added a few badges, GTMcKnight style, at the bottom. That's it for the updates tonight.

I just added the "News and Updates" section. Now when anything changes. If you're interested in keeping tabs on what is going on with this site, or are confused because things have changed since you were last here, this page is for you. ...it would make sense if i made this page an RSS feed... if people are actually interested in me doing so, i'll get to work on it, but you have to let me know you care.

Oh, and even changes that haven't taken place, ones just in the conception phase, will show up here. (So it's really a history of changes made and changes planned document.)
